Man/Groove was conceived as an immersive performance
and sound installation for OGR Turin. Precisely intertwining
100 microphones and cables, the installation
recalled a mangrove jungle. Functioning as
a reactive ecosystem, the work employed granular delay
and environmentally influenced distortion effects.
Participants experienced an experiential journey similar to
a walk in the wilderness, surrounded by the
unpredictable symphony of the artificially reactive forest.
The installation encourages interaction with the environment,
offering a dynamic encounter with the amalgamation of
organic and technological elements.
Furthermore, three LED screens immerse spectators in a
microworld, presenting a dystopian sky realized
through the macroscopic imagery of colored cables, creating
a multidimensional experience where the boundaries between the senses
dissolve.
